Have I Got A Riddle For You…

Change the WorldWell, two riddles, actually. The first is this: What do Big Brother and Mother Earth have in common? Give up? They both are watching us. The difference is that Big Brother watches us from a place of judgment and a desire of complete control over our free will. Mother Earth, on the other hand, watches from a place of non-judgment, love, and support; especially support of our freedom of choice and use of our free will. She sees our actions toward her and she continues to heal, support, and love us.

Okay. So here’s the second riddle: What do the rock band Nickelback and Chief Crazy Horse have in common? Ready? They both believe that, when working and moving as one, we have the ability to change the world. In the Chief’s channeled message to the small group gathered at The Heart to Heart Healing Connection in Agawam Massachusetts on Earth Day, he told us that we have the ability, if we come together, to change the world. He believes that we are all one and that we are all one with Mother Earth.  Now is the time to join together to help her heal as well as heal ourselves.

Remarkably so, the influential rock band Nickelback echoes the Chief’s sentiments as seen in their music video below. They sing of how beautiful the world would be if we all came together. They believe, just as the Chief, that we can change the world. They give us hope, just as our beautiful Native American friend does. Please watch and listen to this amazing parallel.

Now let’s take this all one step further. I have printed out for you below the lyrics to the song. But here is the special twist : when you read them, pretend that it is Mother Earth singing them to you. Especially profound is when she sings to you, “I’M ALIVE!” Picture it to be about Mother Earth seeing our ability to love and to be her beloved partner. She does not judge us for any show of disrespect and for our forgetting that we really can love her. She merely points to how we can love her again as well as each other—AND WHAT A WORLD THAT WOULD BE!!!!!

From underneath the trees, we watch the sky
Confusing stars for satellites
I never dreamed that you’d be mine
But here we are, we’re here tonight

Singing Amen, I, I’m alive
Singing Amen, I, I’m alive

If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
Then we’d see the day when nobody died

And I’m singing
Amen I, Amen I, I’m alive
Amen I, Amen I, Amen I, I’m alive

And in the air the fireflies
Our only light in paradise
We’ll show the world they were wrong
And teach them all to sing along

Singing Amen, I, I’m alive
Singing Amen, I, I’m alive
I’m alive

And as we lie beneath the stars
We realize how small we are
If they could love like you and me
Imagine what the world could be

If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
Then we’d see the day when nobody died
When nobody died…

We’d see the day, we’d see the day
When nobody died
We’d see the day, we’d see the day
When nobody died
We’d see the day when nobody died
